My art explores the intersection between the natural world and the man-made.

God's art supplies.

I seek to express the tension created when nature begins to reclaim its rightful materials if left to neglect and show the beauty of that reclamation. I want to share the fascinating textures and colors I see in urban decay.

May I share with you the beauty I find in unlikely places?

Nature and Mankind as co-creators of unpredicatble and surprising art. The textures of bark, seashells, pealing paint, broken concrete, and faded graffiti co-exsisting with flowers that poke through to find the sun above it all.

Resurrection.

But, the decay and reclamation don't happen alone. There is always something alive nearby. I focus on that something being birds. Particularly Raves. They contrast well against the chaos. (But, a few other creatures may show up from time to time.)

I was born in Palm Springs but now live in San Jacinto, CA, with my husband, four children, two cats, and one very cute little dog.

Career Highlights

Sharye has shown and sold works in Washington State at places like the Annex in Auburn and other small venues starting in 2000.
In 2013 Sharye worked with the KaleidaKulture events hosted at the Diomand Vally Arts Association in Hemet, CA.
Sharye has had booths at the Hemet Farmers Market in Hemet,CA
In 2019 Sharye was a part of the Spellbound show at the Middle Ridge Winery in Idylwild, CA.
She had work at Harvard Street Music Exchange in Hemet, CA, from 2018 to 2022
She was a Winning Artists Participant for the Fusion Art Abstracts Exhibition 2022, that partnered with Golden Pine Gallery in Idyllwild, CA

She had the privilege of donating pieces for two years (2023 and 2024) to the Oswit Land Trust that seeks to preserve the wild places of the Coachella Valley in Southern California two years in a row now. This event has been hosted at the Desert Art Woman Gallery in Palm Desert, CA
